Fantasy Analysis
Hannahan's recovery has been so slow that you figured the Indians would have put him on the DL by now and brought up another player. Alas, he continues to be day to day. The Indians don't need to rush him back since Lopez has been a more than adequate substitute. Hannahan has low-end Fantasy appeal when healthy. (Updated 05/24/2012).

Cleveland third baseman Jack Hannahan finds himself in a familiar position heading into the 2012 campaign: placeholder. Hannahan beat out Lonnie Chisenhall for the starting job at third base this spring, but considering Chisenhall is younger and has a much higher ceiling, it might be a short-lived victory. Hannahan carried a .250 batting average -- his highest mark when playing at least 100 games -- and clubbed 26 extra-base hits, including eight homers, last year, so he is a relevant contributor in AL-only leagues when he's playing. Because he'll be looking over his shoulder, though, he's a late-rounder even in those deeper formats. (Updated 3/27/12)
