| Lew Ford cut from Orioles camp |

(3/26/13) The Orioles reassigned outfielder Lew Ford to minor-league camp Tuesday, reports MLB.com. The 36-year-old Ford had an outstanding spring with a .405 batting average, two home runs and six RBI over 37 at-bats. He could come up during the season from Triple-A Norfolk but is mostly organizational depth for the Orioles.

| Ford undergoes hernia surgery |

(10/29/12) Orioles outfielder Lew Ford, who missed some time in September with what was labeled a groin injury, had surgery to repair a sports hernia earlier in October, according to the Baltimore Sun. He's expected to be ready for spring training.
