| Marlins place Matt Diaz on disabled list |

(5/20/13) The Marlins have placed outfielder Matt Diaz on the disabled list.
Diaz has been dealing with a left knee bone contusion. The move was retroactive to May 19. First baseman Jordan Brown has been called up from Triple-A New Orleans to take Diaz's spot on the active roster.

(5/2/13) The Marlins have called up outfielder Matt Diaz from Triple-A New Orleans.
A 10-year veteran, Diaz signed with the club in late March. He hit just .222/.280/.333 in 108 at-bats with the Braves last year. Infielder Nick Green was sent to Triple-A in order to make room for Diaz.

(3/25/13) The Marlins signed outfielder Matt Diaz to a minor-league contract Monday.
Diaz was released Sunday by the Yankees after hitting just .200 in spring action.

(3/17/13) The Yankees have released outfielder Matt Diaz. It was first reported that Diaz was reassigned to minor-league camp.
The Yankees did not need Diaz on the roster with the additions of Ben Francisco and Brennan Boesch. Diaz hit just .192 this spring.

(3/17/13) The New York Yankees reassigned 35-year-old outfielder Matt Diaz to minor-league camp on Sunday.
This move makes sense after the Yankees added Ben Francisco and Brennan Boesch to the roster.
The veteran Diaz batted just .192 this spring and did not have an extra-base hit. He will likely begin the season in the minors.
