Indians release Scott Atchison; promote Toru Murata

|(6/28/15) The Indians released pitcher Scott Atchison on Sunday, the team announced.
Atchison was 1-1 with a 6.86 ERA over 19 2/3 innings of work. With Atchinson gone, the team called up pitcher Toru Murata on Sunday.
Murata has never pitched in the majors and is scheduled to start Game 2 of the doubleheader at Baltimore on Sunday.

|(6/23/15) The Indians relief corps got a lot younger Tuesday when Austin Adams was promoted from Triple-A Columbus and fellow right-hander Scott Atchison was designated for assignment.
Adams proved impressive in his last stint with the team. His fastball peaked at 100 mph and he compiled a 2.38 ERA.
The 39-year-old Atchison began the season on a roll, even earning appearances as the setup man, before collapsing. He has allowed 10 earned runs in his last nine innings pitched.

|(6/13/15) As expected, the Indians activated pitcher Scott Atchison from the disabled list prior to Saturday's game.
Atchison has been recovering from an ankle injury and completed a minor league rehab assignment at Double-A Akron.
To make room, the Indians optioned C.C. Lee to Triple-A Columbus. Lee allowed a run in 2/3 of an inning in his only appearance with the Indians.

|(6/12/15) Indians reliever Scott Atchison (ankle) will be activated off the 15-day disabled list prior to Saturday's game at Detroit, manager Terry Francona said Friday, per MLB.com.
Atchison made a rehab appearance with Double-A Akron on Wednesday, tossing one scoreless innings. He allowed one hit and struck out three.

|(6/11/15) Indians pitcher Scott Atchison was pleased enough with his rehab assignment on Wednesday that he said he's ready to rejoin the team's bullpen, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
Atchison didn't allow a run during his time in the eighth inning during a rehab assignment in Akron.
Atchison has been on the disabled list due to an ankle injury.
"I think I'm ready to go," Atchison said. "I don't know the exact date yet. I don't know when they're going to make the final decision. But it was one outing and I'm ready.
"We'll just see what they have to say about it and when they want to do it."
