| Bullington headed to Japan |
| (11/24/10) The Royals have asked unconditional release waivers on SP Bryan Bullington, allowing the right-hander to sign with the Hiroshima Toyo Carp of Japan's Central League. The 30-year-old Bullington was designated for assignment on Nov. 19. He was 1-4 with a 6.12 ERA in five starts and eight relief appearances for Kansas City. Bullington was pitcher of the year at Triple-A Omaha, going 8-2 with a 2.82 ERA in 15 starts and five relief appearances. |

| (9/3/10) According to the Kansas City Star, Royals RP Bryan Bullington has been moved to the bullpen and Brian Bannister and Luke Hochevar will both pitch on Tuesday against the Twins. Bullington went 1-3 with a 6.35 ERA in five starts this season. |

| (9/1/10) Royals starter Bryan Bullington moved to 1-4 on the season as he lost to the Texas Rangers on Wednesday night. Bullington was not horrible but he wasn't good enough against Tommy Hunter and the Rangers' dangerous lineup. He allowed four earned runs on eight hits and three walks over 5 1/3 innings pitched. Bullington struck out three and threw 93 pitches on the start. His ERA is at 6.11 on the year. |

| (8/28/10) Royals SP Bryan Bullington was shelled for the second straight start as he was given the business by the Indians on Friday. Cleveland batted around and scored six runs in the bottom of the second, three runs coming on a Matt LaPorta homer. Bullington surrendered another run in the bottom of the fourth on his way out the door. In four innings, he was charged with seven earned runs on nine hits and three walks, striking out three batters. He fell to 1-3 on the season. |

| (8/22/10) Royals SP Bryan Bullington was roughed up in Saturday's 7-6 loss to the White Sox. He allowed six runs on 11 hits in five innings. He threw 103 pitches and was pulled after allowing a two-run homer to Roman Castro in the sixth inning. He left trailing 6-4, but his the Royals were able to battle back and tie the game to get Bullington off the hook for the loss. He walked two and struck out four while earning the no-decision. |

Ex-substitute teacher wins big-league debut for A's
Bobby Cramer, a former substitute teacher who started this season in the Mexican League, won his big-league debut Monday by pitching the Oakland Athletics over the Kansas City Royals 3-1.
