Brewers' Dontrelle Willis making a good impression in camp

|(2/28/15) Brewers pitcher Dontrelle Willis has made a favorable impression during camp, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.
In particular, Willis has impressed manager Ron Roenicke. "He's got a great attitude," Roenicke said. "The things he said are exactly what you want a player to say. He gets it." Willis has also made a strong impression on his new teammates.
Willis, 33, has not pitched in the majors since 2011. He's attempting to make a come back with the Brewers this spring.

|(1/21/15) Two-time All-Star pitcher Dontrelle Willis will attempt another major-league comeback, as he agreed to a minor-league deal with the Brewers on Wednesday. His contract includes an invite to major-league spring training.
The 33-year-old Willis hasn't pitched in the majors since 2011 with the Reds. Although, he worked out for a bunch of scouts Tuesday, according to Crasnick.
"I feel like a rookie,'' Willis said. "This is very humbling. It's going to seem surreal until I see my name on a uniform in spring training. I just can't believe it.''
Willis was part of the Giants organization last spring until he was released in April. He pitched in the independent Atlantic League for two starts and made two relief appearances for Triple-A Fresno last season.
He is 72-69 with a 4.17 ERA over nine MLB seasons. He won the NL Rookie of the Year in 2003.

Willis suffered an arm injury in his most recent start with Triple-A Fresno, and it could be the one that ends the career of the 2003 National League Rookie of the Year. He allowed no runs while recording two outs in his two appearances with Fresno.

|(4/13/14) Giants pitcher Dontrelle Willis was fourced out of his outing at Triple-A Fresno on Sunday with an apparent arm injury. He declined to talk to the media after the game. Fresno manager Bob Mariano indicated that Willis may have suffered a forearm injury, the Fresno Bee reports.

|(3/11/14) Giants pitcher Dontrelle Willis was sent to have an MRI after feeling something pinching in his neck, but the results of the test are not yet known, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Willis is in minor-league camp with the Giants after agreeing to a deal in January. He went 5-4 with a 2.57 ERA in 87 2/3 innings with Long Island of the independent Atlantic League as well as 2-1 with a 6.43 ERA in 21 innings with Triple-A Salt Lake last season.
