| (9/3/10) Reds OF Wladimir Balentien was placed on the minor-league disabled list with a strained oblique on Friday. The 26-year-old is hitting .282 with 25 homers and 78 RBI for Triple-A Louisville this season. |

| (8/26/10) From The Sports Xchange notes: OF Wladimir Balentien is the hottest hitter at Triple-A Louisville. Balentien is hitting .289 with 24 home runs and 75 RBI for the Bats. He had 12 homers in the 125 at-bats since the All-Star break. Will he be called up in September? "Maybe," Reds manager Dusty Baker said. "But he's not on the roster. He had the nod the first time. If he played like he is now, he'd be here. We took him off the roster and no one claimed him." |
