Fantasy Analysis
DeJesus raised his batting average from .242 to .286 during the streak, and it now stands at .276 after Sundays game. He has been decent for the Cubs this season and should be considered a viable NL-only Fantasy option. (Updated 05/20/2012).

Cubs outfielder David DeJesus was called out after White Sox second baseman Gordon Beckham pushed him off the bag at second during Friday's game at Wrigley Field.
David DeJesus enters his first season with the Cubs in 2012 and he could see plenty of at-bats atop the order as the team's leadoff hitter. Manager Dale Sveum has already said DeJesus will get that opportunity, though he'll have to earn it after coming off a career-worst season with Oakland. DeJesus hit .240 last year over 442 at-bats, his lowest career average by 20 points. DeJesus at his best should give Fantasy owners a solid OBP and decent pop. Even as a leadoff hitter, DeJesus has never stolen more than 11 bases in a single season. His Fantasy value will stay mostly in NL-only formats, though if he does win an everyday job he could be worth owning in deeper mixed formats as well. (Updated 2/6/12)
