(4/14/14) The Phillies activated pitcher Mike Adams from the disabled list after Monday's loss to the Braves.
Adams opened the season on the disabled list while dealing with a shoulder issue. He put up mediocre numbers during his rehab assignments, but the team will be happy if he can remain healthy.

(4/13/14) Phillies reliever Mike Adams continued his recover from a shoulder injury Saturday, in a rehab appearance for Triple-A Lehigh Valley. Adams tossed one innings against Rochester, allowing one run on two hits, while striking out one.
Assuming he avoids any sort of physical setback in the next few days, this could be the last appearance Adams makes before returning to the majors for the first time since last June.

|Phillies set rehab debuts for Cole Hamels, Mike Adams |
|by R.J. White | CBSSports.com|
(4/2/14) Phillies pitchers Cole Hamels and Mike Adams will begin official rehab assignments with Class A Clearwater this week, with Adams set to pitch Thursday and Hamels making his first start Sunday, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Both Adams and Hamels are recovering from shoulder issues. Hamels should be on track to return during the last week of April if he makes four rehab starts and doesn't encounter any setbacks.
|Mike Adams has developed into one of the premier setup men in the major leagues. Unfortunately, his career suffered a minor hiccup in 2013. After signing a two-year, $12 million contract with the Phillies, Adams would barely last three months before a shoulder injury sidelined him the rest of the season. Adams, who also missed time with a back injury last season, went 1-4 with a 3.96 ERA and 1.36 WHIP in his first season with the Phillies. He had a 1.98 ERA and 0.99 WHIP over his previous five seasons. Adams didn't record his first hold until late April and finished with eight before his season ended in late June. Adams underwent surgery last summer, but he's expected to be fine for the start of the season. As long as Adams rebounds to the form he showed before hurting his shoulder, then he's a viable Fantasy option in leagues that reward for holds and Rotisserie formats.
