Fantasy Analysis
Adams was finally able to get on the mound Monday night and looked sharp in his return. His respiratory infection seems to be a thing of the past, so look for the right-hander to jump right back into his setup role. He has seven holds and 11 strikeouts on the season, but should only be active in AL-only formats that reward true middle men at this point in the year. (Updated 05/22/2012).
05/23/2012 16:34 Nathan's return to peak form helps Rangers ease pain of losing Feliz
Even with starter Neftali Feliz out for the next few weeks and the Rangers contemplating adding veteran Roy Oswalt, things could be a whole lot worse in Texas. But they're not, because the corollary move to installing Feliz into the rotation -- signing closer Joe Nathan last winter -- is working out spectacularly.

Elvis Andrus lined a two-strike pitch into the left-center field gap for a two-run triple, Josh Hamilton made two tremendous catches in center field and added an RBI double, and the Texas Rangers snapped Seattle's win streak at four with a 3-1 win over the Mariners on Tuesday night.
05/17/2012 18:27 A's overcome iffy call, nip Rangers in 10
Kila Ka'aihue had a tiebreaking single in the 10th inning, and the Oakland A's bounced back from a disputed call on a squeeze play that cost them the lead to beat the Texas Rangers 5-4 Thursday.
05/16/2012 23:52 Rangers' Darvish (6-1) baffles A's
Yu Darvish pitched 7 2/3 strong innings and Adrian Beltre had a two-run homer to help the Texas Rangers beat the Oakland Athletics 4-1 on Wednesday night.
Mike Adams has established himself as one of the majors' best set-up men over the last three seasons, as he has not finished with an ERA above 2.00 in any of those years. He has been such a coveted bullpen arm that the Rangers traded two of their best pitching prospects, Joseph Wieland and Robbie Erlin, to acquire him for the home stretch last season. Texas has enough bullpen depth that Adams will likely find himself having to split holds with several other relievers, but that shouldn't impact his Fantasy value much. He is enough of a help with strikeouts, ERA and WHIP that he remains a top option in leagues that use non-closers in reliever slots. (Updated 2/6/12)
