| (6/10/06) Washington outfielder Jose Guillen was activated off the disabled list Saturday after being sidelined with a strained right hamstring. He was placed on the DL on May 27, retroactive to May 26. Guillen homered in both ends of a doubleheader Friday, part of a three-game rehabilitation assignment with Class A Potomac. |
| Mike Vento seeing regular ABs |
| (6/3/06) Mike Vento is likely to start all three games in right field this weekend against Milwaukee, according to manager Frank Robinson. The Brewers are throwing three straight left-handers against the Nationals, and the right-handed Vento (who hit .375 at Triple-A New Orleans) should have a good opportunity for success against them. |
