All Ramirez did in 2009 was solidify his place atop the shortstop rankings, hitting a career-high .342 to capture his first batting title. He also topped 100 RBI for the first time in his career. He no longer hits leadoff, a move that has cut into his stolen bases, but he still contributes in the category. Even if he didn't, his ability to hit over .300 with 30 home runs at one of the weakest positions in Fantasy would make him a slam-dunk first-rounder, especially now that Jose Reyes and Jimmy Rollins have dropped out of the picture. If not for Albert Pujols, Ramirez would be the first overall pick in Fantasy. Perhaps only Joe Mauer offers a bigger statistical advantage at any position on the diamond. (Updated 1/5/10)
