Fantasy Analysis
Hermida's surgery was performed by Dr. William Myers in Philadelphia Tuesday. He will now be sidelined six weeks and not likely to return until at least late June, so Fantasy owners should keep an eye on his recovery over the next few weeks. However, Hermida's sporadic at-bats and production make him a player worth avoiding in most formats, even when healthy. (Updated 05/15/2012).
