| (7/27/10) Washington Nationals minor-league shortstop Pedro M. Lopez has been suspended after testing positive for Formestane. The suspension of Lopez, who is currently with Triple-A Syracuse of the International League, is effective immediately. |

| (3/9/09) The Pirates cut four players from their camp on Monday. RP Romulo Sanchez was optioned to Triple-A Indianapolis, while RP Daniel Haigwood, SS Pedro M. Lopez and C Miguel Perez were all reassigned to minor league camp. |
| Pirates hand out two minor invites |
| (1/6/09) The Pirates signed shortstops Anderson Machado and Pedro M. Lopez to minor league contracts Tuesday with invitations to spring training. The 28-year-old Machado has played 24 games in the majors, but none since 2005. He spent last season in the Mets' system and has a .228 career average in the minor leagues. Lopez played last season for the Blue Jays' Triple-A club, batting .236. The 24-year-old shortstop has played 16 games in the majors. The Pirates have invited 12 non-roster players to spring training. |
