Fantasy Analysis
Scott is batting just .219 in May, but he is making his hits count when he makes contact. He has three homers, three doubles and 13 RBI this month. Scott might not hit for an impressive average, but he has power and is driving in runs. Consider him a low-end Fantasy starter in deep mixed leagues. (Updated 05/23/2012).

Tampa Bay went out and got former Orioles DH Luke Scott and is hoping the 33-year-old can stay healthy this season. Last year Scott only managed to play in 64 games as he missed most of the latter part of the year with a torn labrum. When he was healthy, Scott struggled to a .220 batting average, nine homers and 22 RBI. If Scott can get back to being healthy and productive, he can be a nice source of power for the Rays and Fantasy owners. One thing to note is Scott's .202 career average at Tropicana Field, but the Rays expect him to be the everyday DH and he should get enough at-bats to have a decent value in AL-only Fantasy formats and even deeper mixed leagues when he's going well.
