Wagner's retirement shocks Nats: From the The Sports Xchange: RHP Ryan Wagner, who was pitching at Triple-A Syracuse after an 18-month rehab from a torn labrum, has retired, GM Mike Rizzo said Monday. "Only he knows what he's doing, but you put in all that hard work to come back from the surgery and then the very next year you retire, it's kind of shocking." (Updated 05/20/2009)
