| Giants mull replacements for Ryan Vogelsong |

(5/21/13) The Giants have begun to discuss replacements in the rotation for Ryan Vogelsong, who will miss 4-6 weeks after fracturing two bones and dislocating a joint in the pinkie finger on his right hand Monday. The Giants don't have to rush to a decision, however, since they won't need a fifth starter until May 28.
Manager Bruce Bochy said long reliever Chad Gaudin would be considered to replace Vogelsong. MLB.com suggests minor-league pitchers Chris Heston, Michael Kickham and Shane Loux could be considered as well.

(3/26/13) Reliever Chad Gaudin has made the Giants' opening day roster.
The 30-year-old has a 2.81 ERA in 16 spring innings. Gaudin is unlikely to be used in a high-leverage role given the team’s other options.
In 739 1/3 career innings, Gaudin has a 4.63 ERA and a 4.60 FIP.

(1/5/12) Pitcher Chad Gaudin says he has reached agreement on a minor-league deal with the Miami Marlins and received an invitation to spring training. The 28-year-old Gaudin said in an email Wednesday to the Associated Press that he is joining the Marlins for the 2012 season.

Blue Jays crush Giants for fourth straight win
J.P. Arencibia and Adam Lind each hit two-run home runs, Ramon Ortiz won for the first time since 2011 and the Toronto Blue Jays won their season-high fourth straight game Wednesday night, beating the San Francisco Giants 11-3.
