|by Al Melchior | Data Analyst|
(11/20/13) Free agent first baseman Corey Hart told MLB Network Radio on Tuesday that his agent has been contacted by four teams, but he will not receive any offers until he is cleared by doctors. Hart said he is not scheduled to receive clearance until Dec. 3.
He added, "It's kind of frustrating because I've been 100 percent for the last month. Until I can actually get back out to L.A. [for a checkup], I'm kind of in a holding pattern right now."
The teams Hart says are pursuing him are the Brewers, Red Sox, Rockies and Rays.

|Mets have interest in Corey Hart |
|by R.J. White | CBSSports.com|
(11/6/13) The Mets among about a dozen teams that have interest in free agent first baseman Corey Hart, the New York Post reports.
Hart, who did not play in 2013 after undergoing multiple knee surgeries, has hit .276/.334/.491 with 154 home runs, 508 RBI and 83 stolen bases in 3,443 career at-bats. He has mostly played right field during his major-league career, though he did make 103 appearances at first base for the Brewers in 2012.
|No qualifying offer for Corey Hart |
|by Al Melchior | Data Analyst|
(11/4/13) MLB.com reports that the Brewers opted not to make a one-year, $14.1 million qualifying offer to first baseman Corey Hart by Monday's deadline. Hart earned $10 million in 2013, though he did not play as he had surgery on both knees.
The Brewers remain interested in re-signing Hart this offseason, but at a lower cost. If another team signs Hart, the Brewers will not receive a compensatory draft pick. The Brewers would have received a pick if they made Hart a qualifying offer and he rejected it.
