Qualls loses another lead: Philadelphia relief pitcher Chad Qualls (1-1) gave up two runs and four hits while recording only two outs in the ninth inning during the Phillies' 4-3 victory over Houston on Tuesday. Qualls was unable to protect a 3-1 lead after starter Cliff Lee departed and blew his fourth save of the season. He was booed off the mound for his latest miscue and wasting Lee's stellar effort in which he was in line for his first win of the year. (Updated 05/15/2012)

Fantasy Analysis
Qualls was reportedly plagued by a knee injury earlier this month, but the Phillies disputed the claim and his already made seven appearances in May. But the right-hander has hardly been reliable despite his seven holds and owns a 4.05 ERA for the season. All of his blown saves have come in the past eight games. Fantasy owners should consider him a low-end option in deeper NL-only formats for now. (Updated 05/15/2012).
