RP Keppel leaving to play in Japan: The Twins released righty reliever Bobby Keppel on Wednesday. Keppel will play in Japan. He had a 4.83 ERA in 54 innings with 21 walks and 32 strikeouts last season for the Twins, picking up his first major-league victory with a scoreless 12th inning in their tiebreaker win over Detroit to win the AL Central title.
