Marlins' Chris Narveson impressive vs. Braves; leaves with blister
|by Jason Lempert | Staff Writer|
|(8/31/15) Marlins starter Chris Narveson had a fine night on the mound against the Braves on Monday. Making his second start of the year, the left-hander allowed two hits over 5 1/3 scorless innings. He walked two and struck out three, en route to the 4-0 victory.
Narveson, who did not pitch at all in 2014, is now 2-1 with a 5.23 ERA in eight appearances with the Marlins. His outing on Monday came to an end prematurely, as he developed a blister which caused him to exit the game with 90 pitches in the sixth inning.
This start went much better for Narveson than his previous one. His last time out, he yielded seven runs on eight hits in just 3 2/3 innings in a loss to the Pirates.
