Preseason Outlook

A year removed from his breakout 2007, the downfall continued for Snell in 2009. He pitched so poorly that the Pirates sent him to the minors in June before ultimately trading him to the Mariners. And although his ERA improved to 4.20 in Seattle, he had more walks than strikeouts, suggesting he would have hit a brick wall eventually. Snell still has talent -- he dominated during his six starts in Triple-A -- but right now he's too lost to help you in Fantasy. And at age 28, he might not get a long enough leash to find himself again. Snell has some sleeper appeal in AL-only leagues, but avoid him everywhere else. (Updated 1/22/10)
