| (6/18/08) According to The Sports Xchange notes: LHP Mike Gonzalez, who has been out for a year after Tommy John surgery, was activated after Tuesday's game. Manager Bobby Cox isn't looking to throw a game away on an experiment, but he knows Gonzalez thrives on the adrenalin produced by the ninth inning of a close game, and Cox thinks Gonzalez has had enough minor league rehab appearances to get back in the groove. RHP Phil Stockman has been sent back to Triple-A Richmond. |
