Crain back in the bullpen: As expected, White Sox relief pitcher Jesse Crain was activated from the 15-day disabled list following an oblique injury, the team announced Tuesday. To clear a spot on the active roster for Crain, Chicago designated fellow relief pitcher Eric Stults for assignment. Crain has made six appearances for the White Sox this season and permitted two runs -- both on homers -- for a 2.57 ERA and two holds. (Updated 05/15/2012)

Fantasy Analysis
Crain has also recorded at least one strikeout in each of his outings (10 total) while serving as a key setup man for the White Sox. Despite the team's constant rotation at closer, the right-hander is unlikely to receive save opportunities -- for now -- as Addison Reed, Hector Santiago and Matt Thornton handle that position. Fantasy owners should consider Crain a low-end option in AL-only formats at this point. (Updated 05/15/2012).
