Nippert non-tendered by Rangers: RHP Dustin Nippert is a free agent after the Rangers declined to offer him a contract on Thursday. Nippert was 4-5 with a 4.29 ERA in 38 games (two starts) for the Rangers last season. (Updated 12/03/2010)

Nippert was on the disabled list from July 20 to Sept. 2 after getting struck on his head by a liner on July 19 at Detroit, but he finished strong, posting a 1.23 ERA over his final 10 appearances. He has been a starter before, but he'll likely compete for a bullpen role in 2011. He's not worth drafting in Fantasy. (Updated 12/03/2010).
