Young came off DL 'a tad too early': Diamondbacks outfielder Chris Young was left out of the lineup for Wednesday's series finale against the Dodgers. Since coming off the disabled list over the weekend, Young has played the field three times while DHing twice in an effort to ease him back from a shoulder injury. "He probably came back a tad too early," manager Kirk Gibson told MLB.com. "I DH'd him [in Kansas City], then we played him two straight days here. I thought this was the right thing to do with an off-day tomorrow. From not working out and not playing, to playing every day, it's really hard. I wanted to get [Gerardo] Parra in there today for sure." (Updated 05/23/2012)

Fantasy Analysis
The Diamondbacks would have liked to have left Young on his rehab assignment a little longer than they did as he has gone just 3 for 20 (.150) since returning. Back-to-back off-days should give him a bit of a breather so keep an eye on his progress over the weekend. The 28-year-old was having a stellar campaign before landing on the DL and Young should be considered as a solid option in all Fantasy formats when in the lineup. (Updated 05/23/2012).
05/20/2012 19:47 Hit Parade for Week 8
Some catchers have been bitten by the injury bug in recent days, leaving some owners scrambling. Our Scott White shares some recommendations and helps set your lineups for Week 8 in his Hit Parade.
Chris Young appeared to have taken a step forward two seasons ago, increasing both his home run power and his contact rate. In 2011, Young mostly gave back those gains, as he homered less and flied out 50 percent more often. If Young is to be trusted as a No. 2 Fantasy outfielder, he will need to rediscover his power stroke. The good news for Young's owners is that his power numbers were as good as ever during the season's first three months, so his regression appears to have been just an extended late-season slump. Meanwhile, Young did manage to post his second straight season with 20 or more steals, and he didn't go back to striking out at a higher rate. While Young's disappointing second half should give owners some reason to doubt a rebound in home runs, RBI and batting average, there is enough of a chance of that occurring that Young could be a reasonable target as a low-end No. 2 outfielder.
