Fantasy Analysis
There are obviously varying degrees of Fantasy relevance here, but the important note is these players are signed and their teams think enough of them to not have non-tendered them this winter. The arbitration process is designed to give raises to the deserving players with 2-6 years major league service time. These guys are going to make a lot more money this year and the question of just how much will be answered in the next month or so. (Updated 01/20/2010).

It can't get much worse for the Mets than it was in 2009, so shrewd Fantasy owners should be able to find some steals. Our Eric Mack previews the Mets for Fantasy value.
01/13/2010 22:27 Beltran has knee surgery, will miss Mets opener
Carlos Beltran had surgery on his troublesome right knee Wednesday and the Mets center fielder will miss the start of the season.
In a season of injury and disappointment for the Mets, Pagan represented the team's one pleasant surprise. He missed most of the first three months with elbow and groin injuries, but he came off the DL in mid-July and stayed relatively healthy the rest of the way. He quickly claimed the leadoff spot thanks to Jose Reyes' season-long battle with a calf injury and looked good in the role, slugging a surprising .487 to give him an .837 OPS that ranked better than that of Aaron Hill, Brian McCann and Carlos Lee. He also showed the potential to steal 25-plus bases. Thanks to Carlos Beltran's knee surgery this offseason, Pagan should begin the season in the starting lineup, where he'll once again contribute a healthy number of doubles and steals. But since he'll inevitably go back to a reserve role, probably before the end of April, his value remains limited to NL-only leagues. (Updated 1/19/10)
