| Knee injury forces Santiago Casilla to DL |

(1:05 pm ET) The Giants placed reliever Santiago Casilla on the 15-day disabled list Tuesday because of a knee injury. Casilla, who has dealt with a cyst on his right knee since early May, is 3-2 with a 1.89 ERA and one save in 21 appearances.

(5/18/13) Giants reliever Santiago Casilla returned to action for the first since since May 8 during Friday's game against the Rockies.
Casilla allowed one hit as he struck out two and walked two in a scoreless inning of work. He has pitched 4 1/3 scoreless innings in May. He has struck out seven and walked three over that span.

(5/15/13) Giants reliever Santiago Casilla threw off a mound Tuesday and is expected to be available for Wednesday's contest against the Blue Jays, SportsNet Bay Area reports. The right-hander has not pitched since May 8 due to a knee issue.

(5/11/13) The Giants plan to be a man short in the bullpen through the rest of their weekend series against the Braves. Santiago Casilla is still limited by discomfort caused by a cyst in his right knee.
CSNBayArea.com reported Saturday that manager Bruce Bochy does not expect Casilla to be available until the team opens a two-game series in Toronto Tuesday.

(5/10/13) Giants manager Bruce Bochy told reporters that Santiago Casilla will not be available out of the bullpen Friday against the Braves as he continues to deal with a cyst on his right knee.
Casilla will receive a brace for his right knee, which could make him available for Saturday's game. He is 3-2 with a 2.12 ERA and a 1.11 WHIP through 19 appearances.
