| Billy Buckner headed to the majors |

(5/16/13) The Angels purchased the contract of pitcher Billy Buckner Thursday, one of four moves the team made involving pitchers. Buckner, 29, has made 21 starts and 15 relief appearances in the majors in his career, but none since 2010.
In his career, Bucker is 6-11 with a 6.25 ERA, 1.64 WHIP and 103:54 K:BB ratio in 138 1/3 innings. He made eight starts for Triple-A Salt Lake this season, going 4-2 with a 4.56 ERA, 1.54 WHIP and 40:25 K:BB ratio in 47 1/3 innings.

Posey debuts with style as Giants throttle Diamondbacks
Buster Posey had three hits and three RBI in his first game this season and Juan Uribe homered and drove in two runs as the San Francisco Giants sent the Arizona Diamondbacks to their sixth straight defeat with a 12-1 victory Saturday night.
