Robinson Cano gets right back Saturday
by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(8/16/14) Mariners second baseman Robinson Cano is back in the lineup, as expected, Saturday against the Tigers, despite leaving Friday's game with a foot injury.

Cano was forced out Friday after fouling a ball off his foot, but manager Lloyd McClendon rightly predicted he wouldn't miss any time. He is in his usual spot, batting third and playing second base for the game.

Manager: Robinson Cano 'should be fine' for Saturday
by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(8/15/14) Mariners manager Lloyd McClendon told reporters that second baseman Robinson Cano "should be fine" and back in the starting lineup Saturday against Detroit, according to the Seattle Times.

Cano left Friday's game after fouling a ball off the instep of his foot. He is hitting .330 with 11 homers and 67 RBI over 445 at-bats.
Robinson Cano removed with leg issue
by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com
(8/15/14) Mariners infielder Robinson Cano left Friday's game with a leg injury.

Cano appeared to injure his leg while trying to beat out a throw to first. He initially stayed in the game, but was replaced by Brad Miller in the eighth inning. The Mariners were up five runs at that point, so it was unclear if the injury is serious, or whether manager Lloyd McClendon wanted to give Cano extra rest with a decent lead.

Robinson Cano reaches three times, drives in two runs
by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(8/12/14) Mariners second baseman Robinson Cano reached base three times Monday, in an 11-1 win over the Blue Jays.

Cano went 2 for 3 with a pair of extra-base hits, including a solo home run and an RBI double. He drove in two runs and scored twice, while walking once in the easy win.

Cano finally has 10 home runs after 113 games, and remains on pace for one of his worst power seasons of his career. Still, he has 28 doubles and 66 RBI while hitting .333/.402/.476 in 433 at-bats.

Robinson Cano raises average to AL-best .335 in Thursday win
by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(8/8/14) The White Sox were battered by the Mariners on Thursday, but there was only one hitter they could not retire. That was second baseman Robinson Cano.

Cano smashed a two-run homer in the sixth inning, but also added a single and two walks in four plate appearances to improve his on-base percentage to .400, its highest point since April 11, and stretch his hitting streak to nine games. He has taken over the American League lead in batting average at .335.
