Preseason Outlook

Saunders is one of those lefties that stat-heads struggle to explain. Despite being hittable and posting a mediocre ERA (save for 2008), he keeps winning games consistently -- not to mention not losing them. He is a control and command guy that relies on feel and gets a good deal of run support from a solid contender in Anaheim. Consider him an undervalued Fantasy pitcher because of his wins potential, even if Fantasy pitching pundits will always tell you to avoid overpaying for wins. Saunders is a winner and will be for your Fantasy team if you get him after the top 60 Fantasy starters are off the board on Draft Day. (Updated 1/12/10)
