(7/22/14) White Sox pitcher Matt Lindstrom completed another bullpen session Tuesday, the team announced.
Lindstrom is on track to move forward to throwing live batting practice while the team is in Minnesota this weekend. If all goes well, he could end up beginning a rehab assignment at some point next week. He has been sidelined since May 19 while recovering from ankle surgery.

(7/13/14) White Sox pitcher Matt Lindstrom, who originally was targeting a late August return from ankle surgery, now hopes to return early next month, reports the Chicago Sun-Times. Lindstrom threw a 30-pitch bullpen session Saturday and "looked great," manager Robin Ventura said.
"He’s still hobbling around somewhat. He still doesn’t look totally stable on his ankle as far as running around and fielding and comebackers like that. But throwing, he looks fine [and the ball] looks good coming out of his hand," Ventura added.
Lindstrom said he used all four of his pitches and threw a lot of strikes.

(7/12/14) White Sox pitcher Matt Lindstrom threw a bullpen session Saturday, the team announced.
Lindstrom, who is working his way back from a tendon injury in his ankle, tossed 30 pitches in the bullpen without issue. He also took some fielding practice, including covering first base, and the team reports it went well.
Lindstrom has been out since May 19 and is targeting a return in late August.
|Though Matt Lindstrom's closing days are long behind him, he hasn't completely fallen off the Fantasy radar. The seven-year veteran settled into a setup role with the White Sox last season, and while his 1.43 WHIP wasn't Fantasy-friendly, he did lead the team with 20 holds. Lindstrom has improved his ground ball tendencies over the last couple of seasons, so despite some iffy command and modest strikeout rates, he could maintain or improve on last season's 3.12 ERA while helping owners with holds. That's the extent of Lindstrom's value, though; he's merely a run-of-the-mill option for owners in leagues that use setup men.
