|(11/23/10) SP Anthony Lerew signed a minor league contract with Oakland on Tuesday. Lerew split 2010 between the Royals and their Triple-A affiliate in Omaha. He went 1-4 with an 8.54 ERA in six starts with Kansas City.|

O'Sullivan came to Kansas City from the Angels, along with minor league pitcher Will M. Smith, in a trade for 3B Alberto Callaspo on Thursday. |(7/21/10) Anthony Lerew is not expected to make his next start for the Royals after getting injured in Tuesday's loss to the Blue Jays. Lerew bruised his right ribs and right biceps after being struck by an Edwin Encarnacion line drive in the second inning of the 13-1 defeat. No replacement option has been named yet. The Royals did say after the game Wednesday against Toronto that Lerew would be re-evaluated on Thursday, reports MLB.com. "To be quite honest with you, I don't see it happening," Royals manager Ned Yost said. "He's pretty sore. We'll just have to wait and see. He's day-to-day."|
