McCann too valuable to sit: From The Sports Xchange notes: C Brian McCann didn't get his customary day-game-after-a-night-game off on Saturday, and he started again Sunday. With the Braves in the wild-card race, manager Bobby Cox couldn't leave McCann's hot bat out of the lineup. McCann's bases-loaded dribbler in the top of the 10th inning won Sunday's game against the Nationals, and he is hitting .396 (21-for-53) since Sept. 10.
