Preseason Outlook

Miner, a starter for much of his career, made only five starts for the Tigers last year. He made 46 appearances out of the bullpen and fared much better in that role, finishing with a 3.80 ERA. The Tigers look like they've settled on using the 28-year-old righty as a long reliever, which makes him worthless in Fantasy. He'll matter in AL-only leagues whenever he gets a spot start, but he's not worth drafting. (Updated 2/2/10)
