Royals pick up Jesus Flores on minor-league deal

|(3/5/14) The Royals have signed catcher Jesus Flores to a minor-league deal, MLBDailyDish.com reports.
A five-year veteran of the big leagues, Flores last played in the majors in 2012, hitting .213/.248/.329 with six home runs and 26 RBI in 277 at-bats with Washington. He struggled with two different Triple-A teams last season, hitting .174/.213/.241 in 253 total at-bats.

|(6/4/13) The Rays signed former Washington catcher Jesus Flores Tuesday and assigned him to Triple-A Durham, the Tampa Tribune reports.
Flores spent time with the Dodgers during the spring and was released in late May. He hit .164 over 73 at-bats at Triple-A Albuquerque.

|(1/16/13) CBSSports.com Baseball Insider Jon Heyman reported on Wednesday that the Dodgers have agreed to terms with catcher Jesus Flores on a minor league deal, with an invitation to spring training. The owner of a career .241 average over five seasons, Flores was a rule 5 selection by the Nationals, from the Mets, in 2006.
