Bernadina gets back on track: Nationals OF Roger Bernadina, who was making his third start in four games after missing about two weeks when he sliced open his hand, had a big performance Tuesday in Game 1 of a doubleheader at Philadelphia. He went 2 for 5 with a three-run homer, his second since the team brought him back to the majors on Sept. 2. (Updated 09/20/2011)

Fantasy Analysis
Bernadina has split his time between the majors and the minors this season, but he has started more often than not when in the majors. At age 27, he's unlikely to become much of a difference-maker in Fantasy, but he's a decent base-stealer with a little bit of pop. If he's able to claim a starting job heading into 2012, he'll be worth drafting in NL-only leagues. (Updated 09/20/2011).
09/22/2011 21:51 Nats roll past Phillies, complete four-game sweep
Brad Peacock, making just his second major league start, pitched 5 2-3 scoreless innings and Michael Morse hit a three-run homer to lead the Washington Nationals to a 6-1 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies, completing a four-game sweep.
09/20/2011 21:48 Detwiler outduels Lee; Nats sweep twinbill from Phils
Ross Detwiler outpitched Cliff Lee by tossing 7 1/3 impressive innings and the Washington Nationals beat the NL East champion Philadelphia Phillies 3-0 on Tuesday night to complete a sweep of their day-night doubleheader.
09/20/2011 16:55 Zimmerman's single in 10th lifts Nats over Phillies
Ryan Zimmerman's pinch-hit single in the top of the 10th inning lifted the Washington Nationals past the Philadelphia Phillies 4-3 Tuesday in the first game of a day-night-doubleheader.
The 27-year-old Roger Bernadina will still have to prove he's up to the task, but is expected to start in center field for the Nationals this season. Washington is finally ready to unleash him upon the National League after he hit .243 with seven homers, 27 RBI, 40 runs scored and 17 stolen bases over 309 at-bats last year. Bernadina split time between the majors and minors last year but is looking to cement himself in the Nationals' lineup in 2012. Unfortunately, a lot of his playing time will depend on when Bryce Harper is allowed to make his major league debut. Harper could play center or right for the Nats and Washington would likely have Michael Morse and Jayson Werth joining him, pushing Bernadina to backup services. Even as a starter, Bernadina would only be worth drafting in NL-only Fantasy leagues. (Updated 2/8/12)
