Brown clears waivers, back in minors: MLB.com reports that C Dusty Brown, who was designated for assignment Saturday by the Pirates, cleared waivers on Thursday. He was outrighted to the minors immediately, joining Triple-A Indianapolis. Brown appeared in just 11 games for the Pirates, amassing three hits. (Updated 06/30/2011)

Fantasy Analysis
Brown had some success with Indianapolis already this year, with a .263 average to go along with six homers and 19 RBI. He was expected to see some playing time for the Bucs when Chris Snyder and Ryan Doumit went down with injuries, but he never overtook Michael McKenry for playing time. Brown will continue to play in the minors, but he doesn't figure to get consistent playing time with the Pirates any time soon, making him irrelevant for now in all Fantasy leagues.
