| Phillies announce slew of minor deals |
| (12/18/08) The Phillies announced the invitation of 10 players to spring training as non-roster invitees Wednesday. They include: right-handers Dave Borkowski, Justin Lehr, Blaine Neal and Mike Koplove, corner infielder Mike Cervenak, third baseman Terry Tiffee, first baseman Andy Tracy, outfielder Chris Walker, shortstop Ozzie Chavez and utility player J.J. Furmaniak. The following players were signed as minor league free agents: right-handers Yorman Bazardo, Yoel Hernandez and Justin Pope, left-handers Jason Mackintosh and Joshua Shortslef, first baseman/outfielder Brian Stavisky and outfielders Casey Craig, Kevin Mahar, Wilkin Ruan, Mike Spidale and Rich C. Thompson. |

| (3/29/08) The Rangers released seven players, including OF Kevin Mahar, who played seven games for Texas last year. |

| (10/15/07) Rangers right-hander Mike Wood, catcher Chris Stewart and outfielder Kevin Mahar were sent outright to the minors. Wood declined the assignment and elected to become a free agent. The Rangers have not determined which rosters the others will be reassigned to. |

| (5/26/07) The Texas Rangers purchased the contract of outfielder Marlon Byrd from Triple-A Oklahoma and optioned outfielder Kevin Mahar to the same club prior to Saturday night's game against the Boston Red Sox. To make room for Byrd on the 40-man roster, the Rangers designated catcher Miguel Ojeda for assignment. |
