|National League Gold Glove finalists announced |

(10/25/13) The finalists for the 2013 Rawlings Gold Glove awards were announced on Friday, with three players at each position. The awards honor the league's best defenders, and winners will be announced Oct. 29.
The National League nominees are:

First Base: Paul Goldschmidt, Arizona; Adrian Gonzalez, Los Angeles; Anthony Rizzo, Chicago

(9/29/13) Mets outfielder Eric Young stole second and third base after a first-inning single in his team's 3-2 win over the Brewers to give him 46 stolen bases, tops in the National League.
Young stole 13 bases in September, and 38 of his 46 steals came after being traded to the Mets in June. He finishes the year with a .249/.310/.336 line, two home runs, 32 RBI and 46 stolen bases in 539 at-bats.

(8/31/13) Mets outfielder Eric Young Jr. knocked three hits in a big game Saturday against Washington.
Young Jr. finished 3 for 6 with two runs scored, two RBI and his 33rd stolen base. Young Jr. owns a .252/.315/.341 line and has reached base in all of his last four games. He has four stolen bases over that span.

(8/21/13) Mets outfielder Eric Young is not in the team's starting lineup Wednesday against the Braves.
Young will be replaced by Andrew Brown in the outfield. Brown is hitting fourth against Alex Wood. Young is hitting .247/.311/.336 in 393 at-bats.

(8/15/13) Mets outfielder Eric Young got the day off Wednesday against the Dodgers, in order to clear his head and try to snap out of a slump. Young is 11 for his last 61 heading into Wednesday's game, dropping his average to .251 since joining the Mets.
He will likely return to the lineup Thursday against the Padres.
