Preseason Outlook

The 26-year-old didn't have a poor rookie season, but on a team that was in need of power, they couldn't justify slotting a rookie at the first base spot for the full season. The Giants added pop in the offseason, but they did it at Ishikawa's expense, which slots him as a reserve entering 2010. He is good enough to earn at-bats during the season but he will be nothing more than a reserve for the Giants and deeper NL-only leagues initially. (Updated 1/20/10)
