|(6/27/15) There has rarely been any suspense with Twins closer Glen Perkins this season. If he comes in with a lead, it's game, set, match.
Perkins hasn't allowed a run since May 29. He was lights-out again Saturday in Milwaukee, nailing down his 24th save with a 1-2-3 ninth.
The right-hander has not been scored upon in his last eight appearances. He has six saves during that stretch while allowing just three hits in 8 1/3 innings. His ERA has shrunk to 1.44.

Twins pitcher Glen Perkins picks up 21st save of season Sunday
|by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com|
|(6/7/15) Twins pitcher Glen Perkins recorded the final three outs during Sunday's 2-0 win over the Brewers to earn his 21st save of the season.
Perkins walked one batter during the inning. Perkins has not blown a save this season and he now has a 1.67 ERA.
|2014 summary: After finishing as a top 10 Fantasy closer in 2013, last season qualified as a disappointment for Glen Perkins. He locked down 34 saves as the Twins' closer, but he blew seven chances and put up a less-than-elite 3.65 ERA and 1.18 WHIP. With a 9.6 K/9 ratio, Perkins was still tough to make contact against, but that didn't stop batters from putting up a .429 slugging percentage against him -- his highest mark allowed since 2010. However, much of that damage occurred over Perkins' last eight appearances, before his season ended in mid-September with a diagnosis of a strain and nerve irritation in his forearm.|
Playing time status: A late-season MRI on Perkins' neck, shoulder and elbow did not reveal any structural damage, and he is expected to be ready for spring training.
2015 outlook: Health appears to have been a factor in Perkins' late-season demise, and if not for that slump, he would have turned in another very good season. Forearm troubles are a red flag for pitchers, so Perkins enters 2015 with more risk this season. With an offseason of rest, though, he could return to form and be a top 10 reliever. It's not too early to pick up Perkins in the middle rounds in standard mixed leagues.
