Injury Report
Hamstring - 15-day DL. Expected to begin minor-league rehab assignment May 27 (Updated - 5/23/12)
Fantasy Analysis
It looks as though Kemp is lining up for a return during Week 9 (May 28-June 3) so owners should keep an eye on his progress over the weekend. He was batting .359 with 12 home runs and 28 RBI before landing on the DL as he continues to be one of the more valuable players in Fantasy. The 27-year-old is on pace for another stellar campaign so plan on getting him active for the upcoming scoring period, as long as he makes it through the weekend unscathed. (Updated 05/23/2012).

05/14/2012 14:13 Magic Johnson on Kemp: Rest and get back 100 percent healthy
As Dodgers center fielder Matt Kemp awaits results on his hamstring MRI, new Dodgers part-owner Magic Johnson has thrown in his two cents, via Twitter, and he thinks Kemp should rest and get all the way healthy.
With a campaign that nearly netted him the National League MVP, Matt Kemp crushed any doubts that Fantasy owners had about him after coming off a disappointing 2010 campaign. At the heart of Kemp's down year was an unusually low batting average on balls in play (BABIP), which robbed him not only of points on his overall batting average, but of stolen base and run-scoring opportunities. Kemp more than made up for it by posting a .386 BABIP and .324 overall batting average in 2011, which helped him set career highs in steals (40), RBI (126) and runs scored (115). The one thing that has yet to desert Kemp is his power, and he took that to another level in 2011 by clubbing 39 home runs. Now that Kemp is back on the trajectory that he was on prior to the 2010 season, owners can go back to trusting him as a top Fantasy outfielder. In fact, he is likely to be among the first three outfielders off the board in many leagues. (Updated 2/13/12)
