Fantasy Analysis
All of these players were just roster depth for Houston. They weren't expected to make a major Fantasy contribution and can be ignored in all formats. (Updated 03/28/2012).
07/23/2011 16:02 Cubs 5, Astros 1
Randy Wells pitched six strong innings to earn his first win since April 4 and Geovany Soto added a solo shot and an RBI single in the ninth to lead the Chicago Cubs to a 5-1 victory over the major league-worst Houston Astros on Saturday afternoon.
After batting .277 in 2010, Angel Sanchez took a bit of a step back last season and had a difficult time earning playing time. He recorded 288 at-bats in 110 games and batted .240 with one homer and 28 RBI. He played all over the infield for the Astros and started 63 games. He hit better off the bench (.273 compared to .234 as a starter) but his lack of pop and speed does not make him a good of option for Fantasy. At age 28, he does not pose much upside so leave Sanchez for the deepest of NL-only formats on Draft Day. (Updated 1/9/12)
