| Indians tinkering with Rich Hill's arm angle |

(6/4/13) The Indians are working with reliever Rich Hill to raise his arm slot to where it was during the spring, MLB.com reports Tuesday. It has been lower lately.
Hill has a 22.85 ERA over his last 4 1/3 innings. During his recent slump, Hill has thrown 69 percent strikes. That may be a solid rate, but a lower arm angle may have hindered his deception. He's allowed 12 hits over his last 4 1/3.

| (3/11/13) The Indians selected to contract of reliever Rich Hill from Triple-A Columbus on Monday, giving the left-hander a spot on the 40-man roster. Hill has pitched 5 2/3 scoreless innings over six appearances so far this spring. "To have news like this is obviously good," Hill told MLB.com. "It's just getting ready for the season now. That's the key thing. You can lock into your routine a little bit more going forward."

(2/7/13) The Boston Globe reported on Thursday that the Indians and veteran pitcher Rich Hill have agreed on a minor league contract. Hill was also invited to spring training.
