Hensley picks up save for Giants : San Francisco reliever Clay Hensley got the save for the Giants on Friday night against the Mets. He struck out one batter in the 10th inning, preserving the 4-3 win. It was Hensley's first save of the season. "I was pretty fired up," said Hensley, a 32-year-old right-hander. "Those are things I think I've learned in the past, that you've got to breathe and just kind of let your stuff work for itself and try to let the situation kind of take hold of you." Fantasy Analysis
Hensley has not allowed a run yet this season and gives the Giants some depth in the bullpen with Brian Wilson done for the year. Manager Bruce Bochy is using a closer-by-committee approach, but had used all three of those relievers up in the ninth inning. Fantasy owners should view Hensley as a low-end relief pitching option as he's only worth using in leagues that value true middle men. (Updated 04/21/2012).

Ryan Braun hit a three-run, go-ahead homer in the eighth and the Milwaukee Brewers beat the Florida Marlins 4-1 on Friday night to move to the brink of their first division title since 1982.
09/13/2011 00:00 Stanton's single in 12th lifts Marlins past Braves
Mike Stanton's pinch-hit single in the 12th inning drove in the go-ahead run and the Florida Marlins beat Atlanta 5-4 on Monday night to extend the Braves' slump.
lay Hensley signed a non-guaranteed contract with the San Francisco Giants in the offseason and must win a spot in the bullpen in spring training. Back with the team that drafted him back in 2002, Hensley will look to add stability to a shaky bullpen. Hensley was a member of the Marlins last season as he made 37 appearances and nine starts for the Fish. He went 6-7 overall with a 5.19 ERA. He has some experience as a closer as he picked up seven saves in 2010 with Florida. He shouldn't see save situations for the Giants, however, and is just a low-end Fantasy option for owners in leagues that care about true middle relievers. (Updated 2/7/12)
