(11/6/13) Dodgers third baseman Juan Uribe, starting pitcher Edinson Volquez, relief pitcher Brian Wilson, third baseman Michael Young, utility player Jerry Hairston, relief pitcher J.P. Howell, relief pitcher Carlos Marmol, starting pitcher Ricky Nolasco, infielder Nick Punto and utility player Skip Schumaker have filed for free agency.
They join second baseman Mark Ellis, who had his team option declined, and starting pitcher Chris Capuano, who had his mutual option declined.

(10/11/13) The Dodgers have added pitcher Edinson Volquez to the roster for the NLCS against St. Louis, MLB.com reports.
Volquez posted a 5.71 ERA over 170 1/3 innings between San Diego and Los Angeles this season. He was better with the Dodgers, as he posted a 4.18 ERA over six appearances (five starts) and struck out 26 against eight walks over 28 innings. He replaces Chris Capuano on the roster.

(9/27/13) Dodgers pitcher Edinson Volquez failed to factor into the decision Thursday night against the Giants. The right-hander, who made his final start of the regular season, allowed two runs on four hits and three walks while striking out four over five innings pitched.
Volquez lowered his ERA from 6.01 to 5.71 since joining the Dodgers in late August. He finished the season 9-12 with a 5.71 ERA, a 1.59 WHIP and a 142:77 K:BB ratio over 170 1/3 innings.

(9/21/13) Dodgers pitcher Edinson Volquez fell to 9-12 in his team's 2-0 loss to the Padres Friday after giving up two runs (one earned) on five hits and four walks while striking out six 6 1/3 innings.
Volquez had only walked one batter in 16 2/3 innings with the Dodgers before Friday's four-walk effort. He takes a 5.77 ERA, 1.59 WHIP and 138:74 K:BB ratio into Thursday's start against the Giants.

(9/18/13) Dodgers starting pitcher Edinson Volquez is dealing with a blister on his right thumb suffered in his last start, but is not expected to miss time. He threw a bullpen session Wednesday and is scheduled to start Friday against the Padres, his former team.
Volquez received treatment, as well as a covering of artificial skin, according to MLB.com. He threw all of his pitches without discomfort in the bullpen, and had no problems with the blister.
This will be his fourth start for the Dodgers since being released by the Padres. He has a 5.40 ERA in 16 2/3 innings in that span.
