Mijares had been on the bereavement list since April 29.

(3/24/13) Giants reliever Jose Mijares returned to Cactus League action on Sunday against the Angels. After dealing with a sore elbow earlier in camp, he allowed three runs on three hits over one-third inning. The left-hander also walked one.

(3/20/13) Giants reliever Jose Mijares threw batting practice Wednesday as he continues to recover from a sore elbow, MLB.com reports. The left-hander is expected to be re-evaluated Thursday.
"He had a lot of life on his fastball," catcher Johnny Monell said. "His sinker and breaking ball looked really good, too."
