Mijares arrivals to camp: After experiencing trouble obtaining a passport in Venezuela, reliever Jose Mijares arrived at Royals' camp on Sunday. Mijares, who signed with Kansas City in the offseason, posted a 4.59 ERA in 58 appearances for Minnesota last season. "We'll have him ready to throw two innings by the end of spring training," manager Ned Yost said. "Will he ever throw two innings? I don't know but at least he's prepared and ready." Fantasy Analysis
Mijares posted a 2.49 ERA in his first three seasons in the majors but was not nearly as successful a year ago. Still, he has held lefties to a .212 average in his career and should see a lot of work out of the bullpen for the Royals in 2012. Consider Mijares a low-end option in the deepest of AL-only formats that utilize middle men on Draft Day. (Updated 02/26/2012).
