| Carlos Corporan gives monster performance |
by Jeff Lippman | CBSSports.com (4/29/13) Astros catcher Carlos Corporan had a monster game at the plate on Monday in New York. Corporan picked up four hits and his first home run in a 9-1 win over the Yankees.
Corporan appeared to avoid an injury as well. He pulled up lame running the bases in the top of the seventh inning, but remained in to finish the game. It appeared his foot was injured, but he shook off manager Bo Porter to stay in.
Corporan went 4 for 5 in the game with a two-run shot off Adam Warren in the fifth inning. He added a double and drove in four runs.
Corporan, who also scored twice, is batting .360 as the back-up to Jason Castro.

| Carlos Corporan lines up with Lucas Harrell |
by Jeff Lippman | CBSSports.com (4/7/13) Houston catcher Carlos Corporan was behind the plate Sunday against Oakland with Astros pitcher Lucas Harrell on the mound. Jason Castro remains the Astros' primary backstop, reports MLB.com.
Corporan, who last played Tuesday against the Rangers, has been linked with Harrell, who is also making his first start.
"They've developed a real good rapport, and with today being a day game after a night game, I probably would have given Castro a day off anyway," said manager Bo Porter. "It just so happens that it aligns up to where Corporan can catch Harrell."
Corporan went 0 for 3 Tuesday against the Rangers.
