Preseason Outlook

Like every Met a year ago, Pelfrey was a bust -- certainly no breakout we hoped he would be as a third-year starting pitcher. He took a significant step back last year, despite working half his games in the Mets' new stadium that quickly became known as a pitcher’s park. Pelfrey should rebound and be far closer to his 2008 version, though. We also have to believe the Mets should improve offensively and with the run and win support he will get, he will be a great value on Draft Day, especially when you consider his sinking mid-90s stuff, his ballpark and the fact he ranks outside of the top 90 Fantasy starting pitchers to target.
